MAIN OBJECTIVE

 

Safe Cities is a non-profitable organization that serves children, youth and families in communities such as Atlantis, Bishop Lavis, Elsies River, Manenberg and Khayelitsha.

We build relationships and leverage from public, private, religious and social service organizations to benefit the immediate community, however, we believe that improvement in public safety, education, housing and commercial opportunity happens only when those directly affected determine their community’s course.

Bakery

The Safe Cities Bakery Project provides capacity building and skills development. To date and daily approximately 150 volunteers has respectively been trained from the communities of Bishop Lavis, Elsies River Manenberg, Atlantis. 

Housing Project And Block Factory

 

The block making factory and housing development projects consists of skills and empowerment of the unemployed. Safe Cities has recently completed the construction of a new house in Elsies River. Seven young women between the ages of 17-28 years old are currently residence of this domain. The aim of the house has been constructed to provide these youths with a stable living structure.

AFC ACADEMY 

 

AFC Academy is our latest initiative that has been established to develop the mental, physical and spirtual well-being of our children at a young age.

Feeding Project

 

We serve hundreds of people every week at Safe Cities organisation. Approximately 600 meals are served on a weekly basis.

Skills Training

 

Practical skills training is provided to willing candidates that show interest in the mechanical field.

Fundraisers

 

Our fundraising platform has given our dedicated youth and adults the opportunity to be exposed to on-the-job marketing and soliciting donations. The product that is currently being promoted as a fundraiser is our famous butter cookie that is being produced in our very own bakery.
